Another Oxford
Citizen to make their mark on the world came in the form
of a man known as Klondike Joe Boyle.
After graduating from Woodstock College in 1883, Boyle began
his adventurous career by impulsively running away on the Nova
Scotian barque "Wallace", leaving behind only a simple
note - "I've gone to sea, don't worry about me, Joe."
