The reforestation effort was able to recover a significant
portion of the destroyed land, but it was impossible
to save everything. If it had Norfolk may have never
been introduced to an industry which in it's heyday
would bring one hundred and fifty million dollars to
its economy annually, capitalizing on a crop, which
the natives to this land had already discovered over
three centuries earlier.
