During the 1920's many citizens on both sides of Lake Erie were suffering from a monumental drought. The Ontario temperance act along with the U.S. Volstead Act aimed to make both countries dry of alcohol.

This created a unique relationship between our brothering countries, who less than a century before were at war with one another.
