Lambton had more than its share of ambitious entrepreneurs. Many men sought riches in the oil fields, the lumber industry and the agricultural industry. Ed and Fred David were two particularly ambitious brothers who were determined to cash in on the growing tourist population in the area.
They operated a small tourism business ferrying people out to Stag Island near Corunna. Then one day things got a lot more profitable for them as a discovery was made in the Talford Creek. People came from as far away as Michigan and Detroit just to see the Albino Turtles!
