One
of the first training bases for the British Commonwealth Air Training
plan during World War 2 the Royal Canadian Air Force Training base
is now open for commercial flying. Today, the base is known for
its large collection of vintage Harvard and Yale fighter aircraft.
Over 40 men lost their lives while training at the base and a permanent
memorial is being set up at the museum to honour their memory. |
