| The Six Nations weren’t
the only ones to face exile from the United States following
the American Revolution. People had been noticing the
Burford Plains since the early 1780’s as an area
that went on for miles with beautiful oak savannah.
Amongst the first to visit
the land was Abraham Dayton, a scout sent by Jemima
Wilkenson, the head of an extraordinary religious experiment
back in New York. The land was meant to be their new
Jerusalem. |
